July 21st - Last day of Term
It's already the last term of Year Two, how time has flown! As the children begin to think about transition and changing year group, we will also think back and reflect on the amazing learning journey the children have experienced this year.
In English, we will be writing and thinking about seeing change through poetry, instruction writing and persuasive writing. This will be inspired by the poet Matt Lamothe, finding out about how birds grow and their needs and a fun-filled day at Viking Bay!
In Maths, we will be problem-solving in lots of ways and in Science developing knowledge of investigation, learning how changes occur and how we can observe and measure them.
In Music, we will be learning to read music and use this to play ocarinas whilst in history we will be thinking about how things have changed over time; including schools and people homes.
In PSHE, we will be focusing on transition and being inspired by the story ... The Worry Box. At a time when changes in Year Group can make us feel worried we will be talking about this and share what we are looking forward to about a whole new year at school!
