MarWelcome back to term 6! 

We can't believe how quickly this year has gone but can't wait to enjoy the final term together as Year 2. 

This term, our whole school concept question is 'Is it better to adapt or stay the same?'. For Year 2, we are going to be exploring 'Where can you see change?' 

 

In English, we are going to start the term by exploring biographies and writing our own all about Mary Anning. We will then move onto writing our own narratives based on the story 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark'

 

In Maths, we are going to be covering;

- statistics

- position and direction

 

For Science this term, we are going to be looking at Living things and their habitats. We will be exploring how animals have adapted to survive in their habitats and will venture around the school to make comparisons.

In the afternoons, in Computing we will be exploring Natterhub and Purple Mash to create music digitally. 

In DT we are going to be exploring our food tech skills but preparing and cutting fruit to make our own smoothies.
