This term we will be recapping phase 2 and phase 3 sounds.
This term we are introducing phase 4.
In Phase 4, no new graphemes are introduced. The main aim of this phase is to consolidate the children's knowledge and to help them learn to read and spell words which have adjacent consonants, such as trap, string and milk.
Tricky words are words that cannot be decoded or sounded out. The children need to be able to read and write tricky words.

Phase 3: he, she, we, me, be, you, are, her, was, all, they, my
Phase 4: said, have, like, so, do, some, come, little, one, were, there, what, when, out
