We look forward to sharing lots more about our learning very soon!
CRASH! What’s that in the playground? Let’s go outside and take a look! Stand back everyone – it looks like a UFO has crash-landed!
This half term in school, find out what might have landed by exploring the space craft and investigating scattered scientific specimens. Create a ‘Welcome to Earth’ box for an alien explorer. What can you put in it to explain what life is like on our planet!
Would you like to be an astronaut? You’ll need a pretty sturdy space craft if you do! Start off small by creating an air propelled rocket…WHOOSH!!! How far can you make it travel?
Find out the names of the planets, there’s Mercury, Mars, Neptune and … do you know any others? I’ve forgotten the rest!
Are you ready for take-off Year One? Hold Tight!5, 4, 3, 2, 1 LIFT OFF!
The aliens have landed! Well actually, just one alien. A lost little alien crash landed in our Forest School and we have been busy trying to help her get home.
We have been writing to NASA, reading stories about space, Beegu, Whatever Next, Alien School and Man on the Moon. In science we have been exploring materials to know which are best to build a rocket with.
The children have been demonstrating our school values and learning powers throughout the first few weeks of our Moon Zoom topic and we can't wait for the next few weeks and the build up to our nativity Shine, Star, Shine!
Here are some pictures of the term so far...
