Welcome to Nitrogen and Hydrogen Classes
Our class teachers are Miss Doyle and Mr Dillon.
In our Year 2 team we have Mr Jones, Mr Finn, Miss Watson and Mrs Winch.
We're looking forward to a great year in Year 2.
Mr Dillon, Bonny, Mr Jones, Mr Finn, Mrs Winch and I would like to say a HUGE
'WELL DONE' to all the children for working so hard during their SATS tests.
They have all done their brilliantly just like we knew they would.
We are really proud of each and every one of you.
Welcome to our Year 2 page.
This term we have been learning about pirates and what life was like for them. We had a brilliant Pirate day on the 9th October and the children really enjoyed themselves. We have been learning songs, making artefacts and objects and thinking about what kind of pirate we would have liked to have been.
Welcome to Term 2.
We have a busy term this term in the run up to Christmas. We will be learning about Remembrance, the history behind it and the importance of Remembrance. We shall be visiting our local church for RE week, the Broadstairs War Memorial and the Spitfire Museum. We have some great lessons lined up too to help the children understand what it was like for those during the war and why we remember them.
We hope to see you all at our Parent consultation meetings on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th November. Please see the ladies at the office to book an appointment.
Happy New Year.
Welcome to Term 3. This term our main topic will be Nocturnal animals and Night time, this will be in preparation for the KS1 SATS in May.
We have lots of exciting learning opportunities and activities planned for this term. This includes a Night time walk at Wildwood.
Welcome to Term 4. We are coming into Spring and it's getting brighter and moods are lifting.
The children have been working so hard since joining Year 2 but have also been really enjoying our creative curriculum. We have got an RE week on Hinduism and our Topic of Vehicles to look forward to this term too. We are hoping to take a trip to Horny Hobby later this term.
Don't forget it's Parents Evening on the 3rd and 4th March, the teachers are always pleased to see lots of Parents and to discuss any queries, as well as the achievements of the children so far.
We would like to thank you again for all your support with our activities.
