Our Year Three Team this year is:
Lewes Class - Miss Ward, Mrs Dunkling, Miss Evans
Richborough Class - Mrs MacFarlan, Mr Jones, Miss Barnfield.
PE will be on Tuesday. Please remember to label your kit. Football boots will be needed in term 2.
Swimming will be on a Wednesdays (look out for the date of your class).
It has been lovely hearing from all of you at home doing activities and carrying on the learning. Photos have been sent to us and some of them will be added to our Year 3 page for us all to see. This will give us inspiration and ideas to keep on learning, moving and ways to help entertain ourselves. All of the Year 3 adults miss teaching, talking and being in class with you, so these photos are helping us too.
Each week we will put up the new home learning sheet here as well as emailing you (If you are reading this and do not get the emails please contact the school).
Stay safe at home and when it's clear to come back to school we will be ready with open arms.
Katie in Richborough Class has been non stop and really enjoyed the Art Builders day. She did lots of Poetry and got stuck into her Maths questions.
Amari, from Richborough class, has been busy with the 'Journey' home learning this week. She has been doing some wonderful drawings of characters going on a journey. Well done.
Sophie has been experiencing her own journey.......in a canoe!
Katie really got stuck into the Home learning this week. She loved the Science experiment and has enjoyed making pizzas, pottery painting and gymnastics. Very flexible!

Wade has been very busy doing lots of home learning but his highlight this week was going fishing with his family and catching his very first fish! This amazing, well done Wade. We are super impressed!
Katie in Ricborough Class has been camping in the garden, making board games, growing crystals and writing beautiful stories. She's been a busy bee.
Grace, from Richborough class, has been very busy with the 'All about me' home learning. She has created her own abstract self-portrait, a 'I am an amazing person' thought bubble giving reasons why. Grace has even been doing some science exploring germs and what happens with food.
Blake has really enjoyed learning about the Environment, something he is passionate about.
Ellie- Mae in Richborough Class has been so busy with her Home Learning and has really enjoyed the topic of 'All about me'.
Callum in Richborough Class has been very busy and has written Mr Jones a lovely letter.
Bella in Ricborough class has been working really hard on her writing and timestables as well as making a poster for all the things that make her happy.
Archie has been helping to do some home improvements and has a new kayak which he has been taking to the beach!

Wade has been having lots of fun and enjoying his Home Learning.
Katie in Richborough Class has really embraced the Nature Week. She's also been enjoying reading James and the Giant peach.
Bradley from Lewes class has been busy making fruit kebabs, flower baskets and look at his map of the zoo, so good. Keep up the good work.
Berat from Lewes class has been learning about animals. He even has some spanish words!
Katie from Richborough Class has been really focused on her Handwriting, planning her own zoo and playing fun games with the family.
Callum from Lewes class has been working very hard at home. That skeleton has been labelled so nicely and looks like he has been making things to.

Amari from Richborough had double celebrations last week. VE day and her Lockdown 8th Birthday! Looks like lots of fun.
Katie in Richborough Class has been very busy learning about VE day and having her own celebrations. She even made her own Victoria Sponge cake. yum!
Lincoln from Lewes class has been weighing and measuring to make a delicious cake for his VE day party he is going to have. first, he researched he researched all about VE day. Have a great party!
Ellie-Mae in Richborough Class has had a very busy week, She's make rockets, shakers and an Elmo. As well as writing shopping lists and Cake recipes. She's even found time to play with her brother and used his toys to make a train! Choo choo!
Grace in Richborough Class has been writing some lovely shopping lists and researching London Bridge, as well as having some daily exercise in the glorious Sun.
Isla in Richborough Class has had a busy few days. She's been reading, practising her maths and going for lovely beach walks with her family.
Amari has made her own Medal for VE day out of things she found around the House. Well done Amari!

Summer from Lewes class has been asked by her dance school to make a 20 sec video of swing dance for VE day. Here she is in her red, white and blue outfit. Hope it goes well Summer.

Summer from Lewes class has done some research on Jamaica, as she would like to visit the country. Also, some lovely VE day work.
Callum from Lewes class has been working hard and doing some writing. Also, look at his plant, it so tall! He has been caring for that plant. How tall is your plant, is it bigger than his plant?
Archie, in Richborough class, has been doing lots of creative things at home including this fantastic NHS window display. It is so bright and colourful! He has also been busy doing lots of exercise: walking his dog and family bike rides. Well done Archie!
Ellie-Mae, in Richborough class, has been busy at home doing lots of exercise, which is fantastic! She has also made some delicious cakes and even built a den in the living room. Keep up the excellent work!

Lily-Rose from Lewes class drew a picture of Miss Ward's dog Pebbles. It is very similar and Pebbles is very happy to have made it to the Bromstone Year 3 page!

Isla in Richborough class has been doing lots of different home learning activities. She has been helping in the home including some painting in her hallway and made some excellent models. Isla has also been working hard (one of our school learning powers) to improve her maths skills. She has been on 'hit the button' and played bingo with her brother. In addition, she has been practicing her writing, which is amazing! Keep up the fantastic work Isla.
Katie in Richborough class has been keeping herself very busy with lots of home learning activities. She has created some excellent junk models, some delicious sweet treats and even found a lovely horse on her walk, which she has been feeding.
Grace in Richborough class has been very busy at home. She has welcomed her new baby sister, who she has been walking in the pram with her family. Grace has also made a delicious cake and a lovely display, in her window, to show support for our wonderful NHS!
Year 3 Canterbury Cathedral trip for RE week.
Richborough Class trip to Canterbury Cathedral: As part of our RE week we have been focusing on ’why life is a journey?’ And ‘Pilgrimage’. We visited Canterbury Cathedral to find out more, looking at different symbols and the meaning of pilgrimage.

Wednesday 8th January (Lewes class) and Thursday 9th January (Richborough class) we are going to Wildwood after school 3-6pm. The children will need:
A small snack e.g. biscuits or one bag of crisps. Just one item is enough to keep them going until we return at 6pm.
Hat, scarf, gloves and a warm coat.
Wellies or boots are a MUST.It will be very muddy and slippery. School shoes will not be suitable.
Additional clothing to put over the top of school uniform. I suggest an extra jumper, trousers and pair of socks.
