Well done to all the children for a fantastic Sports Day this year! Everyone tried their best and really enjoyed the day. It's a shame that grown ups weren't able to join in the fun this year but here are some photos for you to enjoy...
Terms 5 and 6
Term 5 proved to be another incredibly successful term for our Year 4 children. From exploring mountains and rivers across the world to writing about an escaped yeti in Shanghai, the children have impressed us all with their fantastic learning.
Term 6 brings more exciting things to discover. We shall be thinking about the Olympics during our short topic 'Spirit' before moving onto our main focus 'Blue Abyss'.
Have a look at the Blue Abyss page for some ideas of additional home learning you might wish to do this term.
It has been wonderful to welcome back all our amazing Year 4 children. From food tasting, making clay pots, thinking about symmetry in mosaics to learning about Roman toilets, it has been been brilliant watching them enjoying their 'I am Warrior' topic.
What an interesting term this has been!
Mr Dobson, Mrs Newton, Mrs Swallow and Ms Whitling have been incredibly proud of how you have all adapted to your home learning via Google Classroom. It has been fantastic to see your resilience through a very difficult time by carrying on with your learning. Our children in school have also been amazing at adapting to such unusual circumstances.
It has been very quiet in school and we hope that we can soon see you all face to face so that we can return to the normal hustle and bustle of Year 4.
Welcome to Year 4!
We are so happy to be back in school and to see all of your smiling faces. Although things may look a little different we still aim to have a fun year of learning. The children have all settled into their bubbles really well and are taking the new rules in their stride. Although we cannot stop to talk face-to-face with parents before and after school, if you have any concerns please do contact the office to arrange a time to speak to us, either via email or telephone.

PE will be Wednesday afternoons- Please can children come to school in their PE kits. They will be outside for all PE lessons so please dress appropriately. Once the temperature has dropped a little we advise children to wear tracksuit bottoms and jumper. Football boots will also now be needed every week.
Reading books will go home on a Thursday and will be collected in on a Monday morning. This allows us the 72 hours needed to quarantine the books. Please continue to sign your child's reading record every time you read with them. Even though they will not have a school book during the week, we do still encourage you to read with your child every night if possible. Home books can be read, but please do not send these in. We want to limit any cross contamination.
Children will need only to bring their book-bags to school with includes their reading record and reading book, no toys or items from home please.
We ask children to bring in a water bottle which they have access at all times. These will come home daily so please wash them and return them to school the following day.
